The Asia-Europe Ring establishes a Co-operative arrangement between eleven leading-edge Research and Education Networks (RENs) with 100G connectivity between Europe and Asia to provide back up for each other in the event of any link failure, thereby creating an extremely robust and resilient 100G network ring, to advance research and education across the Asia-Pacific and Europe region.

This has proven essential in the recent cable cut in the region and between EU and Asia. This session will focus on the management and how we can promote collaboration between EU and Asia Oceania.

This session will include the following:
1. The formal meeting of WG on HPC/AI. The agenda will include presenting progress reports, presenting and discussing the planned activities, etc.
2. The main component of the session will include presentations & Discussions on the Current Status of HPC/AI in the region
3. The planned APAN Conference in Hong Kong in July 2025 will be announced
4. The final item on the agenda is to finalize the White Paper on HPC/AI for the region
