Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) is the standard protocol for inter-domain routing. In this training, we will begin with a brief review of BGP fundamentals, then dive deeper into best common practices for configuring and maintaining BGP in real-world networks. We will also cover BGP multihoming and traffic engineering strategies, along with recommended policy designs to optimise routing, enhance network performance, and support the operational needs of modern networks. Participants are expected to have a working knowledge of IP routing and a general understanding of Internet routing operations.
