This is the first official workshop of the AP-GAINED project, which is funded by APNIC's ISIF Asia Impact Grant.

This workshop series aims to leverage Generative AI (GenAI) to bolster the efficiency and expand the services of NRENs, addressing the capacity gaps that limit their ability to support research and education effectively.

The pilot program was held during APAN58, and it was exceptionally well received.

For this workshop, we will provide ~16 all-inclusive fellowships (through the ISIF Asia grant).

Key activities:
- Introduction to and hands-on training on GenAI
- Tailor GenAI applications to NREN-related activities in Technical, Finance, Operations, and Marketing
- Fostering a network for knowledge sharing.

The focus is on practical skills that allow NREN staff to use GenAI to automate tasks, analyze data, and innovate in their service offerings.

Goals and Anticipated Outcomes:
- Increase the efficiency of NRENs through automation and better data insights.
- Expand NRENs' services, enhancing their role in research and education.
- Build a skilled technical workforce adept in GenAI technologies.

This workshop series is co-hosted with WG on HPC/AI
