About me
Principal researcher at KISTI, a leading government-funded research institute representative of supercomputing/ research networking in Korea for the past 20 years, and participated in developing various networking technologies and projects based on supercomputing and research networking. Given the rapid increase in scientific big data and the expansion of its utilization, he has participated in the Automated-GOLE project by GLIF, the goal of which was to expand and automate the global research network to facilitate high-speed transfer of scientific big data through inter-domain networking technologies. Towards this, KISTI through the Korea Research Environment Open NETwork (KREONET) is the first international partner of the Pacific Research Platform (PRP) & National Research Platform (NRP) project, a national project of the US National Science Foundation (NSF) based on the ScienceDMZ framework, and has been working with the US in the field of research platforms. In addition, elected the first chairman of the Asia Pacific Research Platform (APRP) Working Group, which was established at the 2018 Asia-Pacific Advanced Network (APAN) 45th meeting, and has been active in expanding and utilizing “High bandwidth distributed HPC environment”. And serves as PI for various international collaboration projects.
